For the first time, the pharmaceutical giant Teva planned the release of a range of nutritional supplements.
Our challenge was to create a packaging design that differed from that of Teva’s prescription drugs and showcased the product’s natural ingredients, while also conveying Teva’s characteristic credibility and efficacy.
The focal point of the packaging is the capsule motif. An icon in the medical industry, the capsule engenders a feeling of security. The contents of the capsule conceptualize the different ingredients of each supplement.
As opposed to standard cardboard packaging, in which the smooth, shiny side of the cardboard is utilized, here we chose to reverse the design and use the interior side of the cardboard. The rough, natural texture is an ideal fit for the world of natural supplements.
In addition, the capsule motif was made to stand out with a foil element on the packaging. Together, the complete design inspires the consumer to take the box from the store shelf and touch it.
